A smidgen of info regarding your delivery of rock salt…
99% of the products we offer come with fast, free delivery to England and Wales. If you’re in Scotland then don’t worry; you can still order but we’ll unfortunately have to apply a small delivery charge to your order. It’s not the end of the world though; we do loads of daily checks to make sure we’re the cheapest online so despite and surcharges you should still be quid’s in ordering from us. (Check out our Price Promise if you do find it anywhere else at a lower price).
We ship everything same or next day (except for at the weekends; everyone needs a break) so you can always expect your delivery to arrive within two or three working days unless otherwise stated. We’ll even let you pick a day convenient for you when you go through checkout.
In a rush for Rock Salt? Fear not internet shopper!
You can also opt for a next working day (usually order before 3pm to qualify – at peak times this cut off may be a little earlier) or even a Saturday and you can go for a morning or afternoon specified delivery if you wish. All of these optional extras come with a little surcharge.
How do we actually deliver Rock Salt say you…?
Well, for starters, you should always expect delivery between the hours of 9am and 6pm unless you’ve selected and paid for an am or pm drop off. If we’re super busy then we may extend delivery times beyond these times. If you want a rough time of delivery then you can give us a bell the morning your delivery is due on 0845 456 3089 or email transport@dandysgardencentre.co.uk.
Unfortunately we can only currently deliver to UK mainland via our shiny website. If you’re on an island or in Ireland then give us a call on 0845 456 3089 and we’ll get you a price!
We can’t account for traffic or drivers hours or cows blocking the roads etc. so please remember this when requesting a rough time of delivery; over 98% of our deliveries are made on the day requested and we always try to give you an approximate time when asked.
During delivery goods will be dragged onto a lift attached to the back of the delivery vehicle and lowered to the ground. The driver will then pull the trolley off the lift to the edge of the road, bottom of your driveway or onto the pavement.
The trolley won’t move on uneven surfaces such as grass, gravel or earth and there is no lifting gear so the products can’t be put over a wall or similar. The driver will manually move the trolley; it’s a bit like pushing a baby elephant on a skateboard so if you live on a hill or slope or have a gravel driveway etc. then please call us before ordering so we can check out the point of delivery for you first!
Our hauliers prefer to use standard 18 tonne delivery vehicles which are around the same size as a big ol’ bin lorry.
If you’ve got restricted access to your property or low bridges, overhanging trees etc. then call us first and ask for a smaller, 7.5 tonne delivery vehicle!
